Four tiny little kilometres, just four, but the problem is I can see every step that I will have to take on this circular run, sometimes running is all about the head, not the legs.
My legs are leaden and my mind is dull, I cannot run. I have to walk the 2.5km back to the car. 24 hours ago I breezed my way down the 3km long track, but now my shins have said “NO!”
I’m devoid of emotion, cold, numb, the landscape wraps around me and clouds gather on the horizon.
